BOWMANVILLE, Ontario, Canada (July 9, 2016) – Paul Miller Racing and Madison Snow qualified ninth today for Sunday’s IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship race at Canadian Tire Motorsport Park where Snow and co-driver Bryan Sellers have practiced at the top of the time sheets all weekend in the No. 48 Castrol EDGE Lamborghini Huracán GT3.

The Canadian Tire Motorsport Park round is the sixth of 11 races on this year’s IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship GT Daytona (GTD) Championship and can be seen live on FOX Sports 1 (FS1) tomorrow, Sunday, July 10, at 11 a.m. EDT.

Snow turned a top lap time of 1:19.151 in the 15-minute qualifying session that gave him the opportunity to drive the most dry-weather laps he has turned all weekend in the No. 48 Lamborghini.

“Nothing out of the ordinary happened,” Snow said. “All of the lap times are really, really tight in the field. So even at P9 we are not that far off of P3, just a few tenths.”

On-and-off showers hampered Friday’s pair of practice sessions, and Sellers did the majority of the laps in this morning’s final and lone dry practice session before qualifying.

“We were just pushing for a quick lap,” Snow said. “It was a little bit difficult with all of the rain we had yesterday to get the car setup and get some time for both drivers in the car.

“We kind of dedicated a little more time seat time for Bryan in the car because it’s easier to have one person in the car and one person give the feedback.”

Qualifying gave Snow and the Paul Miller Racing team some more information from which to learn for tomorrow’s two-hour and 40-minute race.

“It was just bad luck with all of the rain,” Snow said. “It wasn’t good track time for me, so I just had a couple of driver issues that I can now just go out in the race and improve on. We have a little bit more data and learned some more stuff about the setup too.”

The No. 48 has been no lower than sixth in the three practice sessions run so far this weekend, including second in Friday’s first session and third this morning.

“The car has been pretty consistent and pretty raceable,” Sellers said. “We have been able to stay in the top portion of the time groups and have a car that is consistent.

“For the race, while at the moment we might lack a little bit of outright speed, we have a good car.”

As the qualifying driver, Snow will start tomorrow’s race and hand-off to finishing driver Sellers.

“We are going to work our way up,” Snow said. “We should have a very quick car, we have a car that’s pretty easy to drive. We just have to make a couple of changes to make a little faster, but we are looking forward to it.”

Race-day Sunday starts with a 20-minute warm-up at 8 a.m. EDT with the featured two-hour and 40-minute race scheduled to start at 11:05 a.m. EDT.
